Do you have tryout?
Yes and no. Players sign up to be on a team but try out for a specific skill level.
When are tryouts?
Indoor: July 22, 2012 for Women & July 29, 2012 for Men
Sand: May 2013
Who can join?
Anyone can join SVAC. Individuals wanting to commit, pay their deposit at Tryouts.
Those dates don’t work for me can I still tryout?
Sure, as long as there is still room on the teams.
I can only make practices on Sundays. Do you have an alternative membership?
Indoor Season only has two practice player openings. They sub at leagues and tourneys when needed.
How many players per team?
Indoor: 6 players and 2 practice players.
Sand: 2 players and no practice players. Only accepting 10 teams per location.
Any Social Outings?
Yes. Individual teams have scheduled social outings throughout the season. The club as a whole has a big party at the end of each season with volleyball, food and awards.
What does a membership price cover?
Indoor: court cost, equipment, coach fees, league and tournament fees, jersey and administrative cost
Sand: court cost, equipment, coach fees and administrative cost
Besides membership fees are there any other cost?
Yes and no. Volleyball shoes, knee pads, active ankles and volleyballs are available for purchase, and are optional. Social outings, including the SVAC Party food and drinks, are not covered by membership dues.
What if I need to leave the club unexpectedly?
SVAC understands things happen. However, there are no refunds on money paid in.
