Competition
Open Sand starts May of each year. Each court is monitored and skill level focused. Players of equal skill level compete on the SAME court. Intermediate skill and higher play 4s and Fundamentalist and lower play 6s.
Players who desire to participate on higher level courts must prove they posses the skill and ability on the court. Each player receives one game to demonstrate their level of game. If they pass the test they may compete on the higher level courts. If they need more work, they are asked to play on a different level court.
JanRie Volleyball’s Open Sand philosophy is focused on providing structure, safety for all players and FUN! By monitoring courts and providing specific skill levels on each court we are able to accomplish all three objectives.
Sand Tournaments are well organized and skill level specific. Players are encouraged to register for the correct skill level they can physically compete.
